The Orangutan is a monkey-like animal that is endangered. It is classified as critically endangered. This means that it got into the Red List of Endangered Species. That also means that we need to take action.
The Orangutan might be red or orange in color. It is usually big and buff in appearance. An Orangutan is actually one of the strongest animals in the world. Did you know that Orangutans have found a way to use medicine? First, Orangutans mush up some leaves. Then, they take the goo out of their mouths and put it on bruises and other spots that hurt. Orangutans live mostly in Indonesia. Orangutans eat fruits, leaves, and some insects.

Orangutans and gorillas and mandrills, baboons are the biggest monkeys in the world.

I knew that animals lick their wounds, but I never knew that their saliva helps them. I thought they lick it to cool off their wounds.
