Wild Cats

 Wild Cats

You are walking through a jungle and spot the tiger. The tiger just had a meal, so you are safe. But still, they have sharp teeth and claws, ready to hunt prey. These are wild cats.

Carnivore means "Meat-Eating", and the wild cats are part of these. From cougars to tigers, wild cats are carnivorous. All cats are classified into 3 groups: Big Cats, Small Cats, and Domestic Cats.

    Big Cats

There are 7 species of big cats, and that may not seem a lot to you. However, they are very ferocious. This is what I call cool. Big cats usually have sharp teeth or claws and can roar very loudly. Down below this paragraph, you can see a list of where big cats live.

  • Lions: Africa (Rare Indian lion lives in Gir Forest)
  • Tigers: South and East Asia
  • Jaguars: Central and South America
  • Leopard: Africa and South Asia
  • Snow Leopards: Central Asia

    Small Cats

There are 28 species of small cats, such as ocelots, cougars (mountain lions, puma, or the largest small cat), lynx, caracal, margay, leopard cat, African wild cat, European will cat, and many more. They resemble big cats but are much smaller. Most cannot roar like big cats.
