Wild Cats

Wild Cats          You are walking through a jungle and spot the tiger. The tiger just had a meal, so you are safe. But still, they have sharp teeth and claws, ready to hunt prey. These are wild cats.      Carnivore means "Meat-Eating", and the wild cats are part of these. From cougars to tigers, wild cats are carnivorous. All cats are classified into 3 groups: Big Cats, Small Cats, and Domestic Cats.     Big Cats     There are 7 species of big cats, and that may not seem a lot to you. However, they are very ferocious. This is what I call cool. Big cats usually have sharp teeth or claws and can roar very loudly. Down below this paragraph, you can see a list of where big cats live. Lions: Africa (Rare Indian lion lives in Gir Forest) Tigers: South and East Asia Jaguars: Central and South America Leopard: Africa and South Asia Snow Leopards: Central Asia      Small Cats     There are 28 species of s...

A Relaxing Day At The Beach

Yesterday in the lockdown, we went to the beach. We had so much fun this time. My brother and I played, went into the ocean, and more.                So our destination was Sandy Hook beach. It was like 2 hours away! So we packed some lunch and snacks, a mat to sit on, some bags, clothes, and more. We sat in the car for so long and we finally reached. In Sandy Hook beach there are lots of beach areas, but we went to the area that had an entry fee. That part was kind of like a national park, so I had a chance to utilize my Fourth Grade national park card to enter the place. But there was one problem, it was expired because my summer break is almost coming to an end, I'm going to be a fifth-grader. The person in charge said it was okay, she allowed us to use the card.              ...

Simple Sparrow Painting

Image
I finally finished my first canvas painting!!!...😁😅 I painted a sparrow. Here is a step by step guide to painting it. List of things Canvas 6x6 (or paper is fine) Brunt Sienna Red Black Green  Light Green Chestnut Orange-Brown Marker First, take a marker to draw the shape as in the picture for the eyes. Once you do that, make an orange slant. Then take the marker and make the beak and the thing below its beak. I don't even know what it is, and I made it. Haha, 🤣 Get it. By the way, why did the sparrow become the lion king? Because it had a mane!!   Okay, enough jokes, back to the painting. After this step, use the brunt sienna and chestnut. Now mix those colors. Use these colors to make the body. Use your marker again to make the tail. Finishing Touches: Use your green, light green to make bamboo stalks. Make some across the sparrows tail, make some above, and add ...

Octopus

Image
Octopuses are cool sea animals that are located all over the Pacific Ocean. Octopuses are soft-bodied, eight-limbed mollusks of the order Octopoda. There are 300 types of Octopuses, including the Dumbo Octopus, the Giant Pacific Octopus, Flapjack Octopus, and many more.  Octopuses are usually famous for their 8 tentacles. People who are scared of Octopuses have Chapodiphobia. 1/30 people are scared of Octopuses, so you’re not the only one to be terrified of them. I have never actually developed the phobia of Octopuses, but it’s okay to be scared of them. Did you know that Octopuses have 3 hearts, and blue blood? Two of the hearts pump blood through the gills; and the third pumps blood through the whole body. Being boneless is pretty astounding. Since Octopuses don’t have bones, they can fit through almost any tight space. Octopuses also squirt ink at other predators to defend. Then there will be a black cloud ink and “Wham” the Octopus is gone. Octopuses are so intelligent that sci...

Did you know that some types of Orcas eat sharks, but most scare them? Though many people think the great white shark is the ruler of the oceans, but orcas actually scare them. Only two species of orcas are known to eat sharks. If you've been to an aquarium,  you've probably seen one.                 Orcas are also called killer whales most of the time, because they hunt most of the species in the oceans. It is not known th...

Pangolin

Pangolins                    I'm probably writing about this animal because my grandma had an encounter with this one. She didn't hunt it. It came to her 😮! My grandma didn't know what it was, so she called me and I told her it was a pangolin.                    A pangolin is an endangered animal like the Orangutan, which is in another post. A pangolin may get extinct. A pangolin is hunted for it's hard protective keratin. Oh, I forgot to mention, pangolins have a protective outer layer of keratin. So it is extremely rare to have an encounter with one.                    They usually live in Australia, Africa, India, and Indonesia. There are less than  1,000 pan...

Intro

This blog isn't any old blog about people and their life. For this is beyond that. This blog is about cool and unique animals that are endangered. Many animals have made it to the endangered list. We need to help them. We need to act. In this blog, you will learn about the different types of animals, and their use. Sometimes, I might post a question about animals, that I don't know. Also sometimes, I may write about places I visited. Let's get started.
